Financial Analyst III

General Purpose
The senior accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to recording, reconciling and reporting of financial data
In this role, you'll be utilizing your technical accounting expertise to:
- Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes/deadlines
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations and analysis, as required
- Interface with colleagues and management from various departments
- Interact with external auditors, as required
- Prepare journal entries
- Approve journal entries prepared by our third party service team members
- Prepare certain account reconciliations and review/approve account reconciliations prepared by others
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- Analyze financial information to explain variances and identify accounting issues,
- Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
- Identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications and
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA in process or obtained.
- Minimum two years progressively responsible experience in the accounting
- Strong technical accounting background.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or similar programs
- SAP experience is required
- HFM experience is desired
- Essbase experience is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
