A Plus to have ANY of experience related to automotive manufacturing; coop or internship engineering working experience; experience or training related to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc. Includes relocation.
Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer
Lead assigned Lean Manufacturing activities including participating in and leading Kaizen events, pull systems, cell layout, 5S, standard work, and work loading charts to maximize the efficient use of labor, material and machines
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards
Provide engineering support for new equipment justification and implementation
Provide manufacturing engineering support for material management and continuous improvement initiatives as well as resolving day to day production floor issues
Requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer
BS Degree Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial
Need Zero to 5
years experience. A PLUS to have engineering experience related to automotive manufacturing. If new grad, A PLUS to have coop or internship engineering working experience
A PLUS to have experience or training related to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
